Snowmen in Central Park

After celebrating the launch of the concept album for Manuel and the Statue of Liberty, Don and I decided to take a leisurely stroll through Central Park on our way back to the PATH's 33rd Street Station. After all, our 6 am flight had already been delayed to 9:40 am, giving us a chance at a night's sleep once we checked into the Crowne Suites located at Newark Airport.

The snow put a magical blanket on Central Park. We saw children throwing snowballs at each other. Dogs rolling in the snow. People pausing to take pictures. A lone skater on an ice rink.

And snowmen.

Yes, there was enough snow to create snowmen. Some were inches tall, barley the height of a hand. Others were several feet tall. While I did not see anyone making them, they stood guard posing for pictures and amusing people.

The camaraderie on the eve of the inauguration was magical. Kindness ruled the air.
