Day 5: Peru, Urubama: Resort

The Agustos Urubamba, the hotel resort Exoticca used to help us acclimate to the higher altitude deserves a photo blog of its own. Nestled inside a small valley it felt like paradise. In our heighted altitude fog, Don and I mused how the continents used to be attached at the tectonic plates for Europe and America used to be connected, and Peru is home to thousands of species of flora and fauna, maybe the Garden of Eden was really in Peru and not in the Middle East. In any case, the grounds were stunning. 

Our only trouble was when someone in our group blew a fuse in our group of rooms when she turned on the electric space heater. The next morning we blew a fuse in our room, but only the 110 wiring was affected (including our lights), and not the 220 that our space heater used.

Our other two hotels were okay, but not nearly this photogenic.
