This will likely be the briefest post.
After we left the train station, I realized we had time to eat dinner and see the Magic Fountain show at 9 pm. We still hadn't clued in that eating dinner at 7:30 at night was very early by local standards. We decided to walk se we could keep our eyes open for food.
We soon saw an empty Thai restaurant. We like Thai. I ordered red curry. Don had chicken with cashews and veggies. Both were very flavorful! A dinner success!
We followed the Google directions to the Magic Fountain. There was a huge crowd. It was about 10 minutes before the show was set to start. We scored seats on the bridge away from the crowds. It could not get any better!
We walked to the AirBnB and regrouped and walked along Av. Parel-el through the Ravel section of town. It had a great vibe. There was a DJ and people hanging out. We bought tickets to see "Pretty Woman" on the last day of our trip (even though it is in Spanish) and walked back to our hotel. We passed lots of local restaurants (most with picture menus and English translation), and made plans to eat along that stretch on other nights. We also bought tickets for a guided tour of graffiti. Later I found free tours -- lesson learned, next time Google "FREE .... tour."
